I purchased a GE dishwasher and other GE kitchen appliances at the recommendation of the Famous Tate salesman. He strongly recommended due to service for American made products.

My dishwasher (1-1/2 years old) went out last week. We are now on day 5 and still have no appointment for repair from extended warranty group. No call backs from the store (Brandon Famous Tate) or extended warranty company. I could have purchased another dishwasher and had it delivered and installed in less time.

It is becoming very obvious to me that they want your money for extending the mfg. warranty but good luck getting service.
